Differing Sky Caddie Yardages

First off let me say I love my Sky Caddie and trust it 98% of the time. I can stand on yardage markers and be withing a yard of the marked distance most times.

Playing alongside another member who had the exact same model, SG3, our yardages we identical.

But, when I played a course about 50 miles away with a buddy, there was about 8 yards difference between his SG5 and my SG3 on certain holes.

Has anyone else experience this? I know when you travel more than 1k miles you should reset the GPS, but I wouldn't think 50 miles would make a difference.

Any ideas?

Yes, I know two people that have Sky Caddies SG3 and an SG4 and yardages were way off (5-8 yards) while standing in the same spot. They sent the SG3 back to Sky Caddie and the factory claimied there was nothing wrong with it.

The SG3 has since gone in the trash can.

But, the SG3 and SG4 are the exact same units, except for the battery.
