I have an iGolf Neo. I have a question for the users of this GPS ...

On any given hole you can "mark" a custom spot/point. When I do this and try to change the "name" to something (i.e. right tree, etc.) I cannot get the Neo to take my input. Example, I want to mark a hole that has a large tree at the corner. Aiming just left of the tree is the play on this hole but too far runs through the fairway into deep rough. As tee locations change I wanna know the distance to the corner. So I go to map the custom point (i.e. Custom 3) and use the option for making my own name. I can scroll through the letters that come up, but it won't let me input. I've hit every button on the piece, I cannot type a name.

Any help? Thanks.

I found the same thing. I just found I had to use their abbreviations for this purpose. I used to just mark it using one of their names, then I would update it using the desktop software later, but now they do not have that software anymore so you can not edit on your computer - very annoying - and, according to the support guy I talked to, that ability is not coming back anytime soon.

Thanks ... I thought it was just me being "technically handicapped" ... ... good to know I'm not the idiot people make me out to be!

Too bad that that function doesn't work.

I add custom point to all of my course files. I have found that you need to BKSPC out the CSTM letters before you enter the name of the custom point.
