My fiancee was an avid golfer for quite a few years until we went snowboarding and she fractured her wrist which now prevents her from enjoying the game of golf. Basically, I am just wondering if anybody has a similar experience and can recommend a good wrist guard/support so she can swing a club without any pain?

Thanks,

Do you think its something like a brace that is used for bowling might help? Basically something that keeps your wrist from flexing.

This might help... http://www.bionicgloves.com/shop/?id=36&cat;=27

Also, there is a golf glove (sorry, can't remember what it is called) that has a plastic insert that covers the back of the hand and extends down to the wrist and then there is a velcro wraparound at the wrist. I know they sell them at my local golf store.

I have ganglion cyst (its a cyst that occurs in your wrist) that I've had surgery on a couple times and basically I used something similar to a bowlers brace. It helped a lot but it might not take the pain totally away. Luckily for me it was pain that went away with time.

If I could get the name of that next time you are shopping that'd be great.

Thanks to everyone for the replies/advice so far.

No problem. The golf store is really close to me, I'll take a run there right now and post a bit later. I need to go get some golf balls anyway.

I used the Swing Glove once a couple of years ago, the bowling wrist strap will do a better job of maintaining a wrist position if that's the goal.
