Has anyone tried getting a fitting using the new shaft optimizer from mizuno?

I guess you hit a few balls and it will suggest 3 shafts plus whether you should soft or hardstep them - not sure how accurate this is but some info would be appreciated!

Tried it over the weekend. You swing the club 3 times and then it averages a few readings and recommends a shaft for you to try.

I don't remember all the numbers but I know one had to do with tempo and another was swing speed.

Then the rep asked what club you wanted to try and was able to make a club up with the different shafts to see which you liked best.

This sounds like a good idea. I saw a video on the internet showing how they do it. Hope they get the units out to the local stores soon.

i used this when i got fitted for my 710 MB's i took 3 swings with and had a 6 iron swing speeds of 90,91 and 92 so i was pretty consistant and in the end he suggestes that i went for the DG X100 to help lower my ballflight and tighten my shot dispersion

I played around with this today as I already have a set of MP-52s and wanted to see how it compared. Sure enough, I was fit once again for the shaft that I have been playing for the past year. What was cool was I could try my shaft on some different heads. I liked the 58s, 62s and was drooling over the 68s ( but I 'm not good enough to game them...yet!). It was nice to know that the clubs I have have a many more rounds in them.

      Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
