what's the difference between the r9 and r9tp? i've looked on taylormades website but see nothing. i'm not really into taylormade so if someone could please give me an explanation it'd be great.

The R9 TP is equipped with a Fujikura Motore F1 65-gram shaft with H.I.T. Technology and is engineered to be slightly stiffer and have a lower torque than the R9 shaft. The combination of TaylorMade® Flight Control Technology and Movable Weight Technology™ makes R9 the only totally adjustable driver on the market.

Lofts: 8.5° • 9.5° • 10.5°
Graphite shaft available in Regular, Stiff or X-Stiff flex
Available in left- and right-hand
LH available in 9.5° and 10.5° only
Includes 18 grams of movable weight: (1) 16-gram, (1) 1-gram, (1) 1-gram

The TP has the real Motore shaft standard and you can upgrade to the real Fubuki, Xcon, Voodoo shafts for no upcharge from TM.

I think the adjustability is a little different for the TP versions as well. I think you can open theface up more than the standard version.

Head wise, they are exactly the same.
