I'm currently gaming a 34" SC Studio Select and have gone through a bit of a dry putting spell over the past few months. I almost hardly ever pull putts, Everything always seems to start just a little right of my intended line. Natually I'll blame the putter but I picked up my old Two Ball thats 35" and putts really seem to start more on line.

Would a putter thats too short cause pushed putts? Or could it simply be I putt better with a mallet putter?

I don't really want to go through the expense of getting my putter reshafted to 35" if it's not necessary or not going to help.

No, I doubt the putter length as anything to do with it. I have a Newport 2 Mid-Slant and I think it's easy to leave the face open on them and as a result, push putts. To save myself the trouble of re writing it again, here's some info I've discovered with the Newport 2's and lining the face up. It's helped me tremendously. http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthr...377#post389377 Also, I sometimes stand a little too far from the ball and get my eyes inside the line of the ball and push putts that way too. I realized this yesterday in the middle of the round.

I think it might be more a case of mallet vs. blade causing the difference. You might want to try having the shaft extended 1 inch, as a more cost effective way of finding out if it is causing your problem, rather than reshafting.

I need to see if I can dig up a 35" SC from a friend and putt around with it to see if it makes a difference. And I'm gonna take a putting lesson and see what my pro says.

Funny thing is, I bought a 34" putter because it felt better at address than my 35". Now after a couple years playing a 34", a 35" putter feels better in my hands. Go figure....
