Anybody use the Maltby Lie Bending Machine ($149)? I am just starting into clubmaking and don't want to spend too much $$. This is about the least expensive I can find that includes the bending bar. I saw Golfsmith has one for around $89 but it doesn't include the bending bar. Any suggestions or comments would be welcome.

I use this one:

The problem with the $149 one that I see isn't bending it's measuring. If you do have a way to measure, you will still need a strong, stable vise to bend forged clubs and a REALLY strong one for cast clubs.

Honestly if you have a vise strong and stable enough to use the $149 model, I think I could muck up a set of hardwood blocks to hold generic forged MB heads well enough to bend. I tried bending cast clubs once with my machine and I guess it is possible but I won't be trying it again. To initially set up some (old garage sale) irons takes me a good bit of messing around and trial and error but keeping them tuned up is not so bad with this machine.
