I just took delivery of my new FT-IQ imix with a Proforce V2 65 (stiff) (super excited) i just wanted to check the specs on the V2, i did a lot of research and i want to make sure im right. It is supposed to be a mid kickpoint right? im just curious cause there is a sticker on the top of the packaging that says "kickpoint high"

Ah, there shud be writing on the outside of the shaft saying its specs. Could be wrong though

In my Golf Bag...

Driver: Burner 07 10.5 Degree w/ V2 76g Stiff
F/way Wood: : J33 15 Degree w/ Aldila NV 85g Stiff
Hybrid: 909H 19 Degree w/ V2 89g StiffIrons: Tourstage X-blade 05 3-Pw w/ True Temper Black Gold StiffWedges: Oil Can Vokey 09 55 and 60 Degree's w/ S300'sPutter: Newport 2.5Bal...

it has a lot of specs written on it , very confusing.... here is the list
Flex S
Wt 67g
Torque 2.9°
Butt stiffness 267
Mid stiffness 7.0
Tip Stiffness 30
Tip Parrallell 4.0"
Tip OD .350"

Anyone know what all that means??

its a fairly stiff shaft, low to mid kick point ie it comes out lower, low touqe = awesome shaft

It is a mid kick (medium trajectory) shaft but it is firm in the tip section to flatten the ball flight. Low torque keeps the clubhead from twisting around during swing and through impact. It is a Great shaft.

I have three UST ProForce V series shafts in my woods. I prefer them over my Aldila shafted woods. The Vs give you a great deal of control and help shot shaping due to the low torque. For me that means less of a tendency to slice. I agree with the mid trajectory assessment. All of mine go long but not really high. Enjoy.

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

I just put a Proforce V2 65 on my 10.5 Rapture. Took it to the range this afternoon ( a little chilly). So far so good. Golfsmith pulled about 3/4 of an inch of the tip to get me a little closer to stiff without going overboard. Initial reaction is positive. Trajectory has come down from the TFC909; which is what I wanted as I felt most of my shots were ballooning with no forward momentum upon landing. Mostly worked on the irons today so only grooved about 8 or 10 balls with the driver. Will post more as I get a few more balls off the face.

For the most part my normal path is straight; however I dd sense even tighter control. Almost no tendency to the right and seemed very easy to draw at will with little effort.

i must admit although having the v2 in my 3 wood im not a fan
i have a stiff graffaloy blue in my driver so the v2 seems to wippy for me.
but its not bad for a cheap shaft.

I tried one with the Graffaloy blue and it was the opposite for me. Im right on the border between S and X..... I roll with the stiff for the added distance. What flex and weight is ur V2?

    • Day 316 - More swings, full backswing and full finish.
    • Day 132: did some mirror work while watching TV. Worked on backswing stuff primarily.
    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
