Grip thickness

Hi again!

I need slightly thicker grips (2 layers of tape apparently). Does anyone know if this would be the same thickness as a mid sized grip? Mid sized is 1/16 bigger...

Two layers of masking tape and one layer of double sided tape used to install a .580" core grip on a .600" butt shaft is roughly +1/32. Mid sized grips with one wrap of tape installed is still larger. Quick way to check is to take your grip and look at where you fingers meet the heel of your hand. They should be barely touching and neither digging into the base of your plam, nor have too large a gap. Also make sure you fit both hands independently. Some players need the lower hand built up more than the upper hand to achieve a correct fit.

The shop I'm getting stuff done at is really annoying. I've got titleist 704 cb's away being extended with 2 layers of tape being added to standard grips. I've got a 905r driver and 2 vokey wedges coming from Titleist also with 2 layers of tape added. On a Cleveland 3 wood they put a midsized grip on saying it would be the same as a standard with tape.

I'm going to have clubs with varied grips sizes from the sound of it.
