Last year I could draw the ball just thinking about it. Today I hit 150 pw shots. All high and either straight or a cut. I was trying to draw them and the closest thing I could get was a dead pull.

What concerns be is a high cut pw may = a fade or slice as I step into longer irons and woods.

Just when I think my game is on track stuff happens.

I'm going to keep trying the draw. I find better golf balls OB. left.

This is all speculation without video, but you probably tried to hit a draw by closing the club face through impact, resulting in a pull. You need to keep your original club face, but with a slight inside-to-out swing path. Ball should start straight and draw a little.

You are right. I tried this during the practice session. The mind is so willing but the body----not. That's what I'm after that baby draw. When I can hit the slight draw with a wedge all is well.

Anyway I will be trying to convince the body this is the right thing to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yo Rexx----I reread 1 plane vs 2 plan book last night. Your advice along with reinforcing I'm a 2 planer turned on a light. Played 9 holer today and my mini draw has returned. Happy Days.

BTW shot a even par 9 holes 3 pars, 3 bird, 3 bogeys. Not bad for 1st time out in Wisconsin.

Ha... I'm not even going to begin to take any credit for your good round, but I'm glad to hear you got things figured out and played well. I play my first round of the year tomorrow. It's the first time swinging a club in probably 3 or 4 months -- not sure when I last played. I'll be playing here . It's basically next door to the RTJ course that the President's Cup is usually played at. It'll be nice to just get out there on such a nice day: sunny & 65.

    • A strong grip cups the wrist (lead) and then it wants to flatten through impact, something I used to be able to avoid to keep it from going left and protecting my forearm (the main premise of my set up). Longer the club, harder it is becoming. Either way, yes, I need to transition to gripping it open.
    • Why don't you grip it "open" so you can return your hand to the place where you're comfortable/not sore, but the ball won't go left? It's effectively weaker… without actually "being" weaker?

    • Idk but I would have to imagine that a putter that is aimed where you think it's aimed would be the most important aspect of a putter
