I would say that it tends to be just about at the lead armpit (left armpit for a righty). But sequencing, where your weight is, how well you maintain (or release) the flying wedge, etc. are all factors. Very generally, left armpit or so for a guy with a fairly normal swing.

Within reason, yes. You can change the arc by manipulating things like losing the flying wedge or pulling your elbows apart, but if they remain constant then, generally, yes.
