Especially after the slump I've been in lately, it was great to go out today and get my best score ever. I've been taking lessons, and I hated my irons, so today was my first round with a used set of Mizuno MX-23's I picked up. The confidence I had in these irons was unbelievable. I knew where they were going, and just relaxed and hit the ball. When I stood over the ball with my old irons, I knew something bad was going to happen.

Today's Round:

Score: 87
Fairways Hit: 11/14
GIR's: 4
Putts: 34

With these new irons, once I get used to the distances, I expect my GIRs to go up, and my score to go down. Getting on the practice putting green every once in a while probably wouldn't hurt either.......
