I've been mulling this over for a long time, and I've finally decided to go for it. I've always had good days and bad days on the greens, but my bad days just kill my score. It's not uncommon for me to have 6-8 3 putts, which makes my goal of breaking 90 pretty damn difficult. On the back nine on Saturday (a round played with muskegman), I figured I had nothing to lose and played those nine holes putting sidesaddle. I canned a 15 footer and a 20 footer, both to save par, and didn't have any 3 putts. I've praticed a bit since then and I'm amazed how much easier it is to judge pace when you're not worried about keeping the putter on line.

I've ordered a longer putter designed for the sidesaddle method, and I'm going to keep track of my progress. I'm not expecting this to be some miracle cure, and I don't mind looking a little goofy if the putts are dropping.

Have you ever tried left hand low w/ a regular putter?

It basically forces you to stay square to the target-line. It takes a little practice to get the feel for long putts but when you do, it's MONEY!

Just a thought!
