Hello group

So I live in Northern New Jersey and am debating on taking a lesson. I started this season and have not had any formal training. I have watched 100s of videos and read 100s of articles. I also have gotten countless tips from all my playing partners. I pretty much only listen to my 2 buddies who both shoot low 80s consistently. They have helped me improve a ton so far. I went from my first time out shooting a 125-130, to my last round was a 91(par70). A few people said to not even take a lesson and just keep working on it myself(which i am not totally sure i agree with).

Do you think it is essential that i take a lesson? I am worried he is going to change my swing completely and i will go backwards. Then again, if i am starting to develop bad habits i don't know about i should want to stop them right awat. As you can see, i am very undecided about this. Does anyone know of any good places/instructors in the Northern New Jersey area?

This first time i swung a golf club was on 5/8/10....
