So as we all know Christmas is coming up, and I am in need of some new irons. I currently have an old set of Mizuno blades that I used to originally start playing golf with (Not the easiest to learn with), and I want to move up in quality. I hit in the 90's consistently and I was looking for set that was forgiving enough, but no more than $300. I'm not sure if I can find that good of a deal but just wanted some input on what you guys thougt I should ask for for christmas.

To start, you're really not going to find better quality than the Mizunos... they are really well made. Finding quality irons with more forgiveness than the ones you currently have for about $300 shouldn't be too hard, especially if you are willing to buy a good used set. New irons for that price may be a bit harder, but still, there will be a few good sets in that range. You may want to check out RockBottomGolf for new sets and 3ballsgolf or GlobalGolf for used.

Callaway Preowned site has several iron sets (to include X22 and X22 tour) 20% off till Sunday. They also have buy one fairway wood, get one free going on. Some other sales too. They have this big sale each year about this time. I got all the clubs in my signature last year during this time. "Like new" on that site is brand new in shrink wrap. Might be worth checking out. I love my X20 tours. Much more feel/control than I had with the big berthas, yet still very forgiving. The X22 are newer versions of the X20 if I am not mistaken.
