I, my wife and her family will be in Orlando for four days going to the parks. I am thinking about sneaking out half a day for a round of golf. I have never played golf outside the state of California and want to experience something different. Where should I play? There are a few criteria:

1. Green fee under $100.
2. Close to the parks
3. Have clubs rental--preferably under $30

Thanks for your suggestions.

On Thanksgiving I played at Falcons Fire in Kissimmee, nice track. Green fee $54, I believe they rent Callaway but don't know the cost. I made the tee time online but can't remember the site. Search "Falcons Fire" in Google. Be aware they had overseeded the fairways and it was cart path only, not sure if that will be the case when your in town.

I am sure there are quite a few very nice courses in Orlando that will meet all three of your requirements but I would not miss out playing ChampionsGate...there are two courses and they are both friggin awe...wait for it...some!!! You might even run into a few pros while there especially during this time of the year as I have seen quite a few including Annika, Immelman and a few others. There is a David Leadbetter teaching academy in case you want to have your swing looked at...and the whole place is incrediably nice but unless you find a deal it might be more then $100 but it is not far from Disney and I think they rent Callaway clubs...enjoy your trip.

You can play the Magnolia, Plam or Lake Buena Vista courses at Disney for less than $100. Twilight rates are less than $50. They are very convenient, great condition and unsurpassed service. If you stay at Disney they drive you back and forth between the course and hotel for free. When my family visits Disney, we go to the theme parks early , they take a nap or swim after lunch while I play a round of golf and then we meet fro dinner and back to the parks. Orange County National and Championsgate are also good choices near Diseny that can be less than $100. Check Golf Now for chep last minute tee times. • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
    • Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
