Two weeks ago I was in Myrtle Beach during a rain storm that cut one round to 9 holes of miserable golf. Unfortunately, I did not have a rain suit and my "waterproof" rain jacket was soaked and didn't prove to be too waterproof after 7 holes. Generally, I can tolerate the rain but it this case I was just too wet and thought that with better gear I may have played all 18 and make my other rain soaked rounds more enjoyable.

Does anyone have experience with Zero Restriction rain gear? Can it withstand 18 holes of steady rain, maybe heavy at times? Does it give great freedom of movement? Is it worth the $$$?

What other brands/models of rain gear do you own survives 18 holes of steady rain, maybe heavy at times? Does the gear allow you to swing the club freely?

I love the Dryjoys stuff by Footjoy. I have the rain shirt (long sleeve) which has a quarter zip at the top, rain paints, rain gloves, bucket hat, and recently bought a Dryjoys waterproof fleece.

I swear by the stuff, and yes I have played in some pretty heavy rain. If you're in a brusing storm, some water may still creep in from the top of the jacket. Sorry, but I have not tried the ZR stuff. I bought the rain shirt first, and it worked so well I gradually just added the rest of the pieces. The stuff is not cheap - rain shirt was $120, pants were $150 (?), fleece was $110, but in my opinion they are worth it because they work.
