Golf. It just isn't easy. I practiced on Wednesday night, hit a small buck, focusing mostly on alignment since I have identified this as something i need to address and have a hard time with it. I used the club 15 yards ahead and the one at the feet. Man it felt wierd. Hit alot of hooks and pulls, some good shots, mostly just traing my eyes so I know what square alignment feels like. Not bad practice at all. Hit almost all woods and longer clubs. Also tested my new driver versus my old. I think I am selling my callaway. It is worth a ton more than my cleveland launcher comp and I the shaft seems to fit me better so I see no reason not to use the old. I also like the deeper face and the look and sound more. I carried my cleveland both days.

Played 9 on Sat. (side note: Hurt my back a bit doing squats that morning in my side/back, fine now but hard to swing when playing) But played anyway. It started off rough for me. Double, double, double. Just stupid mistakes. Was hitting some weak pulls off the tee. Used the line on the ball off the tee and this really helped. Just kind of ugly. Ended up shooting 44, making a few putts. Hit a few quality drives, got up and in from 86 yards. Hit a perfect 8 Iron on a par 3 to 5 feet. Just a wonderful shot. Over read the break, made par. Ended pretty stong. Back felt better.

Played another nine on Sunday. Weather sucked so wide open, played nine in an hour and 15 minutes walking. Hit 5 of 9 greens, drove the ball well, really liked the way I hit it. Made a retarded triple on a short par for and then made a birdie (first of the year) on the next hole, followed up that with a sweet double (this was fun, hit it left off the tee, had to hit a fade which I can't do, laided the sod over it and then did it again from 110. Then from a bad lie I hit it to 2 feet from 50 yards then missed the putt!!) Then made 3 pars and I was done. Overall, I am happy with my play, 42 with two big numbers is ok. I see the light. Alignment is starting to feel "normal" and I am hitting some high quality shots. On 8 I had to punch out then hit it 2 feet from 57 yards for a par. My best shot of the weekend.

I 3 putted 4 times this weekend. Not very good at the 30-40 foot putts and never have been. Anyway, things are looking up.

Brian
