First round of the year

Out on the course for the first time this year yesterday. For the most part the S & T did what is advertised. I had a few mishits, particularly on the first nine, but overall was striking the ball well. When I focused on the tilt I was more successful. Put a five iron 3 feet from the pin and holed out my first birdie of the year. Not bad for the first round of the year with a new swing. The next hole I put a 3H on the green on a par 3. Managed to 3 putt for a bogey. All in all very pleased. Next round I am going to focus more on the shoulder tilt as this seemed like the key for good ball striking for me.

I did not have to much trouble off the tee. Only one really terrible drive. Duck hook. Did not gain alot of distance, but I imagine that will come with focusing on making sure arms are straight and following through with butt under my torso. One thing at a time.

So for the round I had 2 pars and 1 birdie. Missed 2 more pars by three putting.
