Now that HD cameras are affordable for independent stations, almost everything will be shot in HD

Only one of local news channels(out of the 4 major ones) has gone digital with their broadcasts, but you can tell it is just 16:9 digital and not HD. I am sure it is coming. The one nice thing about the digital broadcast station is when they put a scroll up on the screen(weather warning or whatever) it does not switch the HD broadcast to 4:3 with sidebars like the other channels do. I don't mind the scrolls but on the other channels sometimes they don't switch back to HD until after a commercial and it can be a little annoying.

I have DirecTv HD and a 60" Sony SXRD. The picture is incredible. Now we just need Caddyshack to come out on Blu Ray!!!

I'm told the Masters in HD is a sight to see.

Almost any sporting event in HD is cool; "high def" - - - you really need no more exlanation than that. We've been watching HD for several years now, and my cable company just added a bunch of new channels. Animal Planet and Discovery are two channels that look awesome in HD.

Are they HD ready?

If so, just throw up an OTR antennae (Over The Air) and make sure you have a digital converter box for the upcoming change (is Canuckistan doing that too?)

      I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers

      Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.

      So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
