Funny Golf Stories

One of my golf buddies kept his clubs in the trunk of his car. So one day we've just arrived at the course, he opens his bag and pulls out a dark object that looked like a Tootsie Roll. It was a banana...a real OLD banana. Another time he left some hard-boiled eggs in his bag...in the trunk...in the middle of the summer. He'd forgotten about the eggs when he noticed the car smelled funny. He took it to the car cleaner folks and spent a gob of money trying to rid the car of the odor. Then the car smelled great...for a day. The sick odor reappeared. He decides to check the trunk. The "blow" from the fumes nearly knocked him over. He had to buy a new bag.

There's nothing as funny as true golf stories. Do you have one...or two to share?

I walked into and fell over my golf bag while admiring my nice lob shot onto the green.  Ended up flag on my back spread eagle with a pull cart tire in my stomach.

I was out last year working with one of the students on the golf team, it was his first year playing and he was really doing well last year. Was shooting low 50's/upper 40's at this time. It was pouring rain out but he wanted the rain practice. We were on the 13th hole which is a par 3 and he hit his tee shot short of the water, tough par 3 and with the rain, just easier to play it safe. He took his lob wedge and with a full swing on his follow through the club went flying and landed right near the pin about 40 yards in front of him. His ball, not so good. A couple of holes later I was be sure to stand behind him, didn't matter, club came flying out of his hands in the back swing and missed me by about a foot. We were just having fun at that point as we were drenched, laughed quite hard for a while.
