Well folks, as much as I love my Mizuno MP-32s, today if became very clear to me that my swing is just not going enough to play well with them.  I love the way they feel when I hit a solid shot with them, but I tend to not hit the ball very high with them, its difficult for me to him them consistently in terms of distance and I tend to hit a little hook with them.

So, today I ordered a set of MX-100s and I start taking lessons next week.  As much as I love the look and feel of forged blades, shooting lower scores is more important to me.

Maybe at some point I will come back to a set of irons in the MP line, but for now being able to hit straight, high shots is more important than the feel and being able to work the ball.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

Congrats.

Playing GI or PI (down from pure blades difficulty-wise) is nothing to be ashamed about.  In fact, it's that realistic and honest understanding of the current state of your game that will allow you to become better.  I did it (went from 690.mb to 735 cm) and I couldn't be happier.  I'm even considering going to AP2's or even AP1's even though my game has gotten better.  IME, I have yet to hit an iron that made golf too easy.

Thanks.  I love my blades but I love shooting birdies more than I love seeing a bunch of pretty blades in my bag.
