Something I thought was interesting, maybe no one else cares.

But tonight as I watched a replay of Jack's 1986 Masters win, I thought I heard a faint British voice say "Yes Suh!" as Jack made his eagle putt on 15. I knew that two holes later Verne Lundquist would make his famous "Yes Sir!" call when Jack birdied 17.

The Web is wonderful, and with a little checking I found a Golf Digest story that explained it all, and confirmed that I had indeed heard what I thought I had heard. That first voice was Ben Wright, but Lundquist didn't know for years that he had actually copied another announcer.

Here's the link to the Golf Digest story .

Wonder what marvelous memories this year's Masters will create.
