Driving the hands low and left through the shot

Now that I have a ton of lag right before impact, I'm finding myself wondering what to do with it.  If I keep driving the right hand through the ball, I get a lower flight.  If I just get loose and let the club release naturally, it goes sky high.  I can also feel and hear the bounce of the club quite considerably when I use this method of release.  I know when my hands are at the inside of my right leg (righty) on the downswing, the club is horizontal.  Then my hands slow down a lot and the club catches up depending on how much 'drive' of the right hand I give it.  I want that low shot dialed in.  What do I need to be feeling in what parts of my body through impact to achieve it?  More right hand right pec?

I have a similar issue.  I try to keep the butt end of the club pointed at my belt buckle at impact or slightly beyond but on that same arc.
