I've always had a fairly violent (for lack of a better word) swing which has produced a nice fade off the tee for the past 10 years.

Unfortunately, I slipped on our deck a few weeks back and have been having a lot of pain swinging the golf club (specifically AFTER impact) in my upper left inner thigh area. Today's round was pretty painful to the point of where I couldn't take more than a 40-50% swing because the pain was unbearable.

The weird thing is, with driver especially, I noticed I was getting almost equivalent distance (in the air) with a slight draw??  Needless to say I was shocked (as were the guys I've been playing with forever).

Can any of you swing experts explain to me why this may have been happening?

This is something I'd really like to work on, to keep my distances up as I get older.

Thanks for any input you all may have.
