Been a GPS user for 6 years (Skycaddie & Sonocaddie). Got this new laser rangefinder for Father's Day...and I'll NEVER go back to GPS. It REALLY makes a difference and the help it gives you when laying-up is the best! So quick and easy to use I wish I had it years ago!!!!!!!

I can't rate this Diablo Octane vs a Bushnell or any other brand since I've never used one before, but this was is SO easy to use.I think it's basicaly the same as Callaway's Yello LR550...push the buton and for about ten seconds you can scan anywhere and get the yardage. If you need more time, just hit the button again...that's all there is! On a par 5 I played my second shot was a layup in front of a creek. The creek ran at a 45 degree angle across the fairway and all I had to do was "shoot" different sections of it to see the carry needed. It's easy to hit the pin with the laser, but you can also "shoot" the guys on the gree in front of you as well. Want to know the distance of your drive? When you get to your ball turn around and "shoot" the tee marker or ball washer on the tee box...that simple! Like I said before, I was a VERY happy GPS user in the past, but I'll never go back to one...the laser is just so quick and accurate!
