Whoo Hoo! broke 85 today!

Yeah! I shot an 83 today to break the 85 barrier for the first time. I shot a humdrum 9 over 44 on the front, a good save after a 6,6,6 start on the par 4,3,5 opening holes. I then got on a run on the back nine. Shot a 3 over 39 (first time under 40 for 9 holes), including a birdie on the 395yd 18th. Stuck a 52* wedge in pin high, 8 ft away, and made the putt for a change!

Definitely need to work on the putts, though. I hit 7 GIR's, got up and down 3 times, but had 34 total putts. I know that can only get better!

Congratz! It's always great to break down one of those score barriers. I myself just broke 90 for the first time a few days ago. It's good to see work you put in pay off. Now you need to work on getting into the 70's

That's the next threshold, isn't it? I'd like to first be able to consistently shoot this score, then focus on getting down to the 70's. Gotta get that flat stick working!
