Hello

I discovered earlier in the year that I've been living with a fractured right hand wrist for quite sometime, I've had severe pain for a number of years but my GP told me it was probably a sprain (thats British National Health for you).

After getting it x-rayed the surgeon seen it was fractured quite badly and did not heal.  There is also a small element of arthritis in the wrist because it was untreated.

After two consultations I have been convinced that a "partial fusion" on the wrist is the best option with the highest success rate although the doctor said that I wouldn't thank him if he was to operate now, I should rather wait until the pain is too much and I cannot do anything on a daily basis, golf included.

Now to the potential issues I may have, once the operation is done I will have even more of a restricted movement in the wrist than I have at the moment and I was wondering if this will have serious implications in my golf swing? When I refer to movement in the wrist I mean how it is shown in the picture.  Thats as far as I can bend it FYR.

Has anyone possibly had a similar procedure done?
