I purchased a New Forgan of St Andrews Golf Grip & Swing Trainer the other day, to help me build up strength in the muscles used in the golf swing and my flexibility.

I must admit the swing weight was more than I expected, but after a few swings it felt good and will definitely be a benefit to my game.

They say a good swing starts with a good grip, this training product not only makes sure your hands are set in the perfect position but it's unique, proven weighting system helps groove your natural golf swing and improve your muscle memory, imperative for improving your game.

If you are a slight build you can always un-screw the centre weight which makes the swing weight much lighter, my golf partner prefers it this way as she finds it pulls on her joints with the full weight.

You can also practice your swing inside, if the ceiling is high enough. (Watch out for the light fittings though.) Now that is how you can fill in some time during the winter months.

What will this training aid do for you?

Improves your grip and swing path, strengthening the muscles needed for a solid swing.

You can also use it for a warm-up before practice or a round.

They are available in golf shops, pro shops and where I found mine, ebay.
