Ok...I am about to order a set of Mizuno MP-60's and I am leaning very heavily towards upgrading the shafts to the Rifle Project X shaft.

I am needing a little feedback on how the Rifle shafts are measured. I am right in between a stiff and x-stiff in the Dynamic Golf shaft, so by default, I have been playing the stiff.

I hit my 6 iron around 180-190. I have a high swing speed. (Driver-110mph)

I am thinking I would need either the 6.0 or the 6.5...any insights?A

Also, and feedback on the Project X shafts?

Though you should definitely get yourself fit professionally to make sure you get the right fit, there's a nice shaft write up by Gas Can at http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthr...0474#post40474

I have a set of project x's in my 735's and they have been great, a nice flat trajectory. The only thing I have been wondering about is that I recieved my set of ProjX's when Royal Precision was still operating... when they closed their only plant in CT who ended up picking them up... I was looking at a set the other day and the graphics have been changed a bit (at least on the new callaway sticks carrying them)

any differences?

any others have any experience with either the Rifle Project X shaft or the Flighted Rifle shaft?

I'm using standard Rifle Fighted 6.5s in some RAC MB TPs and they seem very good so far. My driver SS creeps into the 120s and the stiffness feels good.

    • Played several holes today with my Buddy's left haded clubs.  I was going to order just woods, but after playing again today and hitting the irons well, I will be ordering a complet set of Left handed Clubs.    They are Callaway Edge, Regular flex.  I am excited !  Will let you know after I try them and let you know how well they performed.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • Depends in part on what lie the greens crew left me. If it's first cut of rough or fairway and clear shot to cup, it's an 8i chip and run. If it's shaggy, or I have to go over ridge or bunker, it's a cut shot with a 58* LW.
    • Throw a stick down in almost every range session.
    • Day 358: Played 18. Incredible psycho scorecard but finished +5. Also completed the birdie challenge. And the no 6s challenge, for that matter. Was not my best ball striking or driving round, but was able to hit enough good shots to make a few birdies and scrape it around.
    • Birdied 10 and 17 today to complete the (away) challenge! Both of the birdies were tap in birdies on par 5s (hit the green in 2 and was in the fringe pin high in 2), but I was a little nervous over both putts. I wasn't taking a gimme to finish the challenge, dammit.  Also, 17 was a hole I missed last year, so it was one I was a little worried about. Now I guess I need to make an eagle or two or get to -19 or lower.
