Spikes/Cleats - What works for you?

My first set of shoes had Black Widow Soft Spikes in them and the fingers ended up tearing off on them.

I then changed those out and bought a set of Pulsar Soft Spikes. The fingers tore off them too.

Next I tried Soft Spikes Black Widow Tours. These are still 'ok' but haven't had a good testing as they're in my old shoes currently.

When I bought my Nike Lunar Control shoes they were fitted with Champ Stingers. The fingers have started snapping off these too.

I'm debating about trying the Champ Pro Stingers as they seem to have less 'fingers' to snap off but have a nice solid spike to go down into the turf. Does anyone know if these are classed as "metal spikes" rather than "soft spikes" or "cleats" due to the centre spike? I don't want to get embarrassed being asked to remove them at a course.

Also any other recommendations for Tri-Lok cleats to try?

I don't know how they would not be classified as metal spikes, since they do indeed have a metal spike sticking out in addition to the plastic claws.     In the club house you'd be clicking and clacking up and down the hallway, and leave the same spike holes on a green as a standard metal spike.

Sorry I don't have any good soft spike recommendations - since switching to Ecco Premiers I haven't had to worry about those anymore!

I'm definitely getting a set.  Soft spikes are one of the worst things that have befallen golf since I started playing almost 60 years ago.  I'm with Charlie Rhymer, that the soft spikes do more damage than the nails on the greens, you just can't see it very clearly -- a waffling effect.  And I'm going to wear them until somebody stops me.  Golfers didn't wear their golf shoes into the clubhouse when they had real spikes on their shoes,, except in those places that had the rubber mats, like the bar area perhaps.  I didn't care to walk around in spikes after a round, personally, so I took them off like everybody else did.  I'd do the same now, but I might try to stay off the concrete in the vicinity of the pro shop!
