I don't have much money to spend...but today I went looking at Dicks (I was just buying balls today but I needed to look around for a wood then research them on which to buy.)

What I found in my price range:
Titleist 904F
Cleveland Launcher Comp
Maxfli (dont remember the model name)

I can pretty much spend up to 100 dollars...and these were 100 or under at Dicks Sporting Goods.

Please, if any of you have these which would be a good one for a 20 handicap, and some cons, or pros, etc.

the Cleveland Launcher would be ok. The Titleist's are nice but would be the toughest to hit consistently of the bunch.

Great advice. You may want to look online for a Mizuno F-50 fairway wood. They can sometimes be had for your budget and are VERY easy to hit, and long. But as far as your local choices go, Gregoire hit the nail.

Of the three you mentioned I would pick the for a 20+ handicapper. However, look around for some deals because if you can find a deal, I think the best 3 woods on the planet are the "X" ...

TEE - XCG6, 13º, Matrix Ozik HD6.1, stiff
Wilson Staff - Ci11, 3-SW, TX Fligthed, stiff

Odyssey - Metal X #7, 35in

Wilson Staff - FG Tour ball

What I found in my price range:

I haven't hit the Cleveland or the Maxfli but I really like my 904F

(read this review for more info) and I don't think it's that much more difficult to hit than the others listed. Any club is going to be tough if you mis-hit it. If anything, it will force you to make a good swing (although I think its plenty forgiving). If you don't mind searching eBay, you can pick one up for under $100. Another option would be the TaylorMade 200 series 3-wood. Very easy to hit.

The TaylorMade R580 Ti is a personal favorite of mine. You may still be able to find them at Dick's at a huge savings. Ebay is also an option. There are lots of them still to be had new. I've had mine for 4 years and couldn't find anything I liked better, so instead of replacing it, I had it reshafted.

Thanks for all the help guys! Today I purchased the Launcher Comp 15 degree at Dicks for 99.99, a great deal.

I hit it on the driving range for about 10 shots and about 5 of them had a fade, 2 of them I straight pulled, and the other three were thin or "topped" lol...

I like it a lot so far. I gotta figure how out how to hit it dead straight. It wasn't a slice it was just a fade...maybe the wind exaggerated it a bit, I don't know.

Thanks for the help once again.
