College players and the end of Q school

I was reading an article this morning about the final makeover in which Q school will no longer be around.  One thing that I haven't thought about during this was the college students.  With Q school no longer being an option and many of the top players hoping to completely bypass the Web.com tour, will this cause them to leave school early to make it happen?

Stanford sophomore Patrick Rodgers is really paying attention as well.  He says;

"It certainly is weighing a lot on every top college players' mind," he said Tuesday. "I mean, it's a big change for the tour."

Paul Goydos thinks it's a risky decision:

"I think it's a risk," Goydos said. "I definitely think a mid-level international player is going to have a much harder time getting on this tour now."

I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this yet.  I'm leaning toward it not being a good idea.  What are your opinions?
