Show me were you see any lateral movement in that, because all I see is a turn

And I don't mean a slight lateral movement I mean no turn at all

Put your mouse cursor next to Rory's head and watch the swing. No movement.

Put your mouse cursor next to Rory's lead hip. Lost of lateral movement.

I've been saying that the entire time I have the lateral part down but my head moves forward as I showed in the picture

I don't agree and neither does Erik. You need to slide more.

So slide but keep the head centered is way your saying

Yea. Like I said, that slide your hips thread I linked earlier in the thread shows lots of evidence of this move. The slide part is strictly a lower body thing. Check it out if you don't believe me or haven't yet seen the thread already.

I saw the centered pivot thing and I think I do that. But I don't understand how to slide and stay centered

Use the wall drill. Put your head against a wall without a club in your hands and feel your hips sliding. You'll be able to tell if your head is moving because it's up against the wall.

If you can't feel your hips sliding, then change positions 90 degrees so your left side faces the wall. Put your lead foot near that same wall and feel your hip sliding until it hits the wall. That way, you'll be able to tell that it's moving.

Or, take your camera and film yourself making these movements without hitting a golf ball to see what your feel actually makes you do. The hip slide thread describes a lot of these movements BTW, and how the feet should be working during this. Your trail foot rolls onto its instep before rising up, for example. Good luck, man.

I'm gonna go back to watching Tiger vs. Bob May on GC right now

love this thread.

Have just vtaken a video of myself.

After muting my brides comments was disgusted to see hip sway on backswing & a lot of it.

Almost my first movement is hips moving back & then they just keep moving.

Cant believe it ! Cant believe I can even contact the ball never mind play to 9.

Love the Hogan photos . His hips move the opposite way on backswing, brilliant.

No excuses.

Sapere Aude.

    • I agree with @dennyjones, a suspension of some meaningful duration would be better than getting bounced from the Tour. They might consider experimenting each week. It might generate a bit of interest. I like the idea of a visible shot clock. If a player and their caddy can’t decide on a strategy and pull the trigger in XX seconds (30? 45? 60?), one stroke penalty. Give each player 2 resets a round. The clock starts when the last player to hit’s ball stops moving. Other pace ideas could be used every couple events until a consensus is reached to adopt or ditch an idea.
