What size grip should I use?

Hi all,

I was just wondering what grip size you would recommend for someone who wears a cadet small glove. I've seen online charts that say I should use .580 but the guy at Golfsmith was adamant that I should use a standard .600.

I have a 3W with a Golf Pride .600 Multicompound on there and it does seem different from my Diablo Edge's which are .580. Also, according to the Callaway site, the RAZR Fit has a standard .600 grip on there but I think it feels like .580 like my irons.

What are the benefits to sizing down? I ask because I want to get softer Winn grips and would like to make an informed purchase. Thank you.

Rule of thumb is the tip of your middle finger should touch your palm when holding a club. But its all up to u. I've known some to even put extra wraps on just left hand location.
