Hello everyone i am looking to swap out the shafts on my cleveland classic 290 which is stock with a club length of 45.25 i want to put a project x black shaft in it and as I search ebay I don't know what actual shaft length i should get to get a overall club length of 45.25. does anyone know also does anyone know of any shafts with similar specs to the project x black that might be more affordable or can come cheaper with a new club and shaft.im looking to get my father one

I would contact Cleveland and ask about the hosel depth of the Cle Classic driver.

Also...

  • How much would Cleveland charge for a factory reshaft with PX? You might have them do it.
  • Do any shops near you have Cle fitting kits with a Classic driver head and different shafts you could screw in for testing?

Please clarify: If you are doing this for your father, how do you know he will like it?

      Down the line and face on from today. Still feeling like I’m sticking the club into a hole in the ceiling above my right shoulder and then big loop inside to start downswing. That’s how it feels. Not how it looks though! Gotta keep working on this for a bit but I see a lot of progress. 😁

      Day 5 (13 Mar 26) - Friday shootout cancelled- made it a practice round working from mixed tees. Plenty of up and down work around greens.  Best was a hole out birdie on the par 3 #5 hole - nice pitch and roll w/Pw from about 10yds off the green - dead center flagstick drop.  Much of round was focused on getting solid weight shift into lead foot.

      Day 208 3-13 Worked on wrist arching and flow. First time hitting reall balls at a range in months. It was nice to see ball flight. Still not sure it beats my backyard practice station.

      Three hole match - microphones on in the cart. It's fascinating listening to them talk about their shots and how they play them. I'm not normally a huge fan of the TM videos - they seem forced to me - but this one doesn't. It's also fun seeing their competitiveness over what on the face of it is a fairly meaningless 3 holes, but they can't help themselves.
