Odyssey Versa Inserts

I just recently purchased an Odyssey Versa 90 #7 because I love the look and the feel of the putter. Here is the issue, I notice every so often when I putt, the ball will actually skid a good amount. This is something I'm not used to seeing.

I've putted with a Rossa Suzuka and most recently a Scotty Cameron California Coranado until a few weeks ago and never had this happen.  I even went back and tested these two older putters to see if it was me and could not replicate a skid.

So, I'm thinking it's not my putting stroke. Has anyone else noticed this as an issue. Believe it or not, it's an issue I've seen before when testing Odyssey putters in the store and has always kept me away from them. I figured the new insert would stop this from hapening..

It sucks, because I love the look and feel of this putter, and think it really helps me line up my putts better, but I cannot live with this skidding issue.

Let me know if anyone else has ever noticed this with this or any of the Odyssey White Insert Putters.

Maybe it's me. I really want to love this putter.
