Fitted for new clubs, 4 degree up loft- stick with that or buy 2-3 degree up?

I just got fitted for a new set of Mizuno JPX 825 Pro irons. I think I might have had some trouble with the lie board and it may have exacerbated the degrees of loft trying to hit the board(thinking too much...the story of golf). I'm wondering if I should opt for a 2-3 degree up loft instead of going with the 4 degree. Maybe realizing now that the toe is angled too much, I might have less of a need for the extreme angle in a short amount of time. Also I wonder if the degree of loft has a bit to do with my need for longer clubs. I tend to like to choke up a tad on the grip(1-1.5in) and they said I should add at least 1/4 - 1/2 in to the club length. Is it possible that because I have a shorter club, I'm swinging down on the ball more than I should? With my current set at normal loft I play a 5 degree fade from left to right. I don't want to buy a new set and start to hook everything 10 degrees left.

To be clear, you mean lie angle, not "loft" right?
