The old Titleist 975 had the shaft all the way thru the head so we could see the tip of the shaft on the sole plate. Many believed that this technique enhanced the performance of the club because of the lack of head twisting on impact. The club was Tiger's favorite  until he went to Nike. Are any drivers being made this way today? My big driver has about 1/2 inch of shaft supporting a massive head so i'm looking to switch.

I think that through-bored shafts in the major brands are going to be few and far between now that so many are going to adjustable heads/hosels. On a related note, are any of the major brands offering a non-adjustable top line driver?
