I've been Playing Golf for: 5 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 17 handicap

My typical ball flight is: high with draw

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: hook

I have been working on my swing during the last year and converted from a one-plane swing to a more two-plane swing. When I hit the ball well (for me) I hit it really nice - my Irons and driver has a much nicer ball flight and I hit it longer than ever.

However - my problem is that I have hard to get consistency in my game. When I miss it could be anything - hook, slice, pusch, top etc...

So if there is anyone out there who could give me a second opinion on my swing it would be very appriciated.

I think this would be a great feel and drill for you to incorporate.  Definitely help the contact issues.  From your video, looks like the left knee straightens too soon and you "hang back" in an effort to send the path right.

Hi mvmac and thank you for your response.

I believe you are right about my left leg straightens too soon and that I hang back. Actually sometimes I feel that I can't reach the ball in my downswing which results me hitting thin.

I looked at your link and I assume it is instruction #2 and correct weight shift that I should work on? Hopefully this can reduce my hooks as well.

I will definetly give this I try!

If you see something else please let me know :-)

Thanks!

Thomas
