My wife and I enjoy a good bottle of Merlot or Pinot Noir. Washington reds have caught up with Napa Valley and Sonoma wines over the last 10 years but I still enjoy California wines as well. Have tried some excellent Australian wines as well.

I 'd have to agree with you on the Washingtion or Oregon Pinot's really out preform most Californians, although Belle Glos by Joseph Wagner of Camyus Fame is out standing. Austrailia is really rocking the world with some great wines. If you can find it try Torbreck-THE FACTOR-from Australia, I think the Torbreck-Woodcutter- is the lower end one but they all are very good.

My wife and I are big wine lovers. Mostly, we drink Pinot and Shiraz, but I do love a good Chard or Reisling. We used to live in the Virginia mountains and there are some great vineyards around there. Linden was my favorite.
