I've been Playing Golf for: 4 months

My current handicap index or average score is: HC index is 9.5 or average score is 50 I play 9 holes mostly. I shot a 48 at the orchard in milford ct and the lowest i shot is a 44 at the same course. Par is 32 at this particular course mostly par 3's and 4's.

My typical ball flight is: depends i am starting to get it higher

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: My irons are the most inconsistent for me. My driver and 3 wood are great off the tee.

I think getting fitted and changing the lie on the club head will help me with ball flight. i compared it to my coworkers today who got fitted and can tell the difference. I had a guy who gives golf lessons also tell me fitting changes a lot. Im not very flexible and my swing feels stiff. its like im not comfortable. Thanks for any feedback or help.

First I want to say congrats on the my swing thread, you have officially become addicted and most likely will need to seek therapy very soon!!!! All kidding aside, nice beard you got there!!!!! Ok.. Back to the swing.. 1. Take a look at the grip thread, you are holding it in your palms too much and you aren't really getting the sequence of the swing correctly yet! Basically it makes it harder for you to correctly hinge your wrist and pivot.. Check out the grip thread and the centered pivot thread as well! 2. Just touch up on the stance by flaring your feet about 20 degrees each, this will also help with the pivot! This game is addicting indeed and I can't wait to see your improvement! Just stick with it, if you have any questions please feel free!

Watched both videos. #1 was a pretty easy fix and made sense once I watched it. #2 is really hard to duplicate #3 my feet was an easy fix The pivots point without my feet moving is very tough. I think I need lessons to fix it I'm a very feedback in the moment oriented person. An hour with 100 golf balls is probably what I need. I will be practicing in the yard though. Lol I do think a fitting will help with ball flight

Welcome to the site man! For 4 months you have a really good start...good posture, athletic tempo.

I also agree with the stuff @Abu3baid said for sure.

I'd get a lesson or two just to get you started, then like you said, reps reps reps.

These videos are super helpful too... http://purestrike5sk.com/videos.php

Thanks for the videos I think I want to buy a practice net for the house. We have about 1.2 acres so why not make use of the land. Lol

    • Day 224: played 18. Got some stuff to work on. Hit some good shots though and made 2 birdies.
    • I am in the market to buy a new or mint+ used driver. I am a high handicap player that usually uses Regular Flex Men's 10.5 degrees and I golf right handed. I can't shot shape the ball and have trouble always hitting the ball in the center of the face and it usually goes off to the right and out of play. I am trying to hit straight all the time so I can hit more fairways, also on off center shots I would like the ball to be in play so I don't sacrifice strokes all the time. I usually look for forgiveness, distance a little distance lost is ok if I am hitting more fairways then that is what i want, adjustable or non adjustable is fine, price is also a factor around 100 but under 300. I also need help getting the ball in the ball in the air and going higher. Any recommendations or other help when buying a driver are welcome and thanks
