PARAMUS, N.J. -- There are things you should know about Henrik Stenson, more than just the fact that he is the defending FedExCup Champion as the FedExCup Playoffs kick off this week at The Barclays. He once stripped down to his underwear to hit a shot out of ahazard during the 2009 World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship. Another time, as a teenager growing up in Sweden, a neighbor had a television that used the same remote as the one the Stensons had, so Henrik and his pals would stand outside the window and change the channel on the neighbor. Then there was the time Stenson was staying in a hotel room next to that of Carl Pettersson and Olle Karlsson. V-shaped balconies connected the rooms, so one night Stenson slipped on a ski mask and hoodie, crawled over to their balcony, ripped open the blinds and burst into the room, yelling “Give me the (expletive) money!” Who says Swedes are stoic? Stenson certainly isn’t, even if he looks the part. He even has his own show on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio, joking that he has a face for the medium.
