They manufacture stock clubs based on average static measurements, like height and wrist to floor. Problem is, fittings need to be done dynamically, because what really matters is how the club is brought down at impact. I don't get what you're trying to say here. You're saying people are better off not getting fit because getting fit might end up with clubs that won't work for them? That was what I was going to say about people who buy stock clubs without getting fit

In saying it's not necessary for the beginner/high capper to get an iron fitting, unless they're particularly not average in stature, and if they do, they are likely to end up with a set of clubs that will not benefit them. I believe an iron fitting is only beneficial to the better/mid capper!

I might be inclinded to believe. But wen u hit a good shot w a badly fit club.. You can end up lying to yourself thinking you are hitting something straight when you've actually manipulated the swing in order to hit it straight when if it was a properly fitted club would b a fade or a draw depending on the person... Also you start seeing bigger players on tour because of the availability for fitted club for the less fortunate.. And average person has opportunity to get some good clubs..
