Hello Folks,

I put reasonably well with the 2 ball putter. Now Odyssey gives us a choice, by producing one with a line through the two balls. My first thought its too much to think about during the set up. But then again maybe an advantage on short straight putts. No dealers in my area yet has one in stock I can try out.

Can anyone share their experiences, or thoughts on the subject. I did here through the grapevine, several pros are swithing to the lined two ball.

Thx, Fred

My Odyssey 2 ball is lined. I draw a line on my ball, and in my putting routine use it to line up my putts. The line on the club makes it easier to square the putter head to my intended line, and my putts have been far better since doing this. It takes all the guess work out of it, and allows me to just concentrate on speed. If I didnt have a line on my ball, I am not sure that the lined putter would really help. Just my 2 cents.

if you are at all geometrically and spatially inclined you can use a ruler and draw a line on your putter, I almost laughed when I noticed the lined putter was 30 dollars more than the standard version... some people will just pay for anything

I used some blue painters tape, a plastic bag for masking, and some red spray paint. Worked great. Having the line made it easier for me to hit the center of the putter as it gave me a specific point to focus on contacting the ball with. (Of course I've since switched back to a white steel #1 putter...)

I've seen people use a sharpie and a ruler to make the line since the original 2 ball came out. Works great if it suits your eye.

haha yes all great ways to make the line on your putter, especially the painters tape and spray paint. I've noticed they don't make the "tour fill" versions anymore. I've never owned a two ball but would definately consider one if I had another 200 dollars to just spend. My scotty works well for me even though I am a bit more consistent with a blade putter. Every time I play with a friend of any random person with a two ball or a red x and they let me take a few strokes I just make more putts.

Odyssey XG heel shaft 2 ball lined delivering today. Looks like my other putters will dwell in closet darkness, for a while anyway.

Thanks for the feedback!
