Duval makes the cut!

One of the most anticipated events in recent golf performance has finally occurred!

David Duval made the cut handily at the Viking Classic. Of course the big guns are not there, but -3 would be a good 36 hole score any weekend!

A come back to prominence by Duval would be an inspiration to every one has been down and struggled to not be out.

Duval made a cut... hmmm, maybe he should take this much time off more often? Just kidding, nice to see him back.

Yeah I am definitely glad to see that. Me and my dad were hoping he might somehow find his way into contention on Sunday. If he did we were going to make the 7 hr drive to watch him play.

I've always been a fan of his since I started playing this game in '02. I know he said he wasn't going to play a very full schedule from now on, but I would like to see him in contention to win a few tournaments at least.

It is amazing that he could win the British Open and now Duval has not had a top-10 finish since 2002. Shows you how quickly one can lose a handle on this game.

Good news for DD. The Tour Policy Board has made a new provision to their rules. Since Duvals time off was not due to his own health issues he will be able to use a new Family Crisis Extension to play next year. Nice move on the Tours part. It's pretty hard to penalize a guy for being with his wife and family during a time of need. Dudley Hart will also qualify for this.
