I'm thinking of replacing the grip on mu putter and was wondering if there are any tricks for getting the grip to align correctly?

I've always used soapy water instead of solvent so I have a little more time and ease adjusting the grip so getting it correct right away isn't an issue but I would like to ensure that it is lined up perfectly.

Everyone ive seen from golf galaxy to club pros just line it up with the eyes. Im sure there has to be a better way or some tricks to it though.

Trust your eyes - after all, that's what you'll use when you're actually playing with it!

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

Small amount of water & an air compressor. Blow the air through the hole in the end of the grip & you can rotate the grip until you get it in the position you like. No need for tape & solvent at all.

watching the guy do it...he slit the stock grip to the logo....marked with sharpie..removed the old grip completely...and pushed in the new grip to align with the mark he made....of course the marking was covered once the grip was push in all the way in...
