I've been Playing Golf for: 5 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 15

My typical ball flight is: mid-flight baby fade

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is:

push left

hello hackers, I am trying to fine tune my swing. Ive had swing lessons to learn the fundamentals 5 years ago, and now golf is quite enjoyable for me and my misses aren't knocking me off the card anymore.

however, after viewing my swing on video, i notice there may be a few things (backswing?) that could use some tweaking. Thanks in advance for anything comments or suggestions.

ps. The iron shot was a strong-low draw to get out of woods but i believe it is still a good representation of my iron swing.

Welcome to the site. If you can, please try to get some video with better camera angles.

On the downswing the wrist angles uncock too early and the result is a "chicken wing" at impact. This will shift the path and club face alignment left.

I'd work on this drill and speeding up the arms on the downswing. From the top of the backswing, imagine you have a spear in your right hand and you're throwing it so that it sticks into the ground, to a spot just in front of the ball.

sorry about the videos, best I could do atm.

Great advice! thank you. I took your tips and also made my backswing more vertical which in turn helped keep my weight forward and hands in front leaning over of the ball like you said. big difference on driver distance and iron control. Only pushed 2 or 3 shots left with a nice draw all day.

I just played a round yesterday and shot an 84 (+12) so things are coming together.
