I noticed that Golfsmith is offering a Lynx LX2 Square driver assembled for $279.99 in one of their mid season catalogs I received in the mail.

Golfsmith says the MOI is an incredible 5500 - the highest MOI to date.

Has anyone hit this Lynx driver and is it as forgiving as they advertise?

Actually that driver is being sold at $199 now. I've hit it a few times, but it responds pretty randomly for me. It feels like there is the occasional deadspot on the face where the ball just doesn't seem to get any energy transfer. Having said that, I've seen a friend from school that can absolutely crush the thing, so maybe it's just me. Driver has been really erratic for me so it's difficult for me to tell which is the main cause. It does have that sort of composite sound but not as annoying as something like the Sumo2.

I think it's a nice looking driver, price is right but is the quality good since I can't demo it at a real range?
