New to the game, not new to the internet. I found some clubs on craigslist but could not find any information on them, I even searched this website. NOTHING. I am looking to buy some newer clubs and not break the bank, so I found these Wilson Firestick set with Power Chamber technology and the owner claims they are from last year. Obviously the first thing i do is google the make model and i connot find a review. I have attached a picture of the club.

If i could give a solid review and confirm the year made that would make me feel better about my purchase.

Thanks,

Austin

This is a little strange...

There have been several versions of Fire Stick irons over the years, but I've never seen this one and cannot find any info regarding it either except for a PW that had been listed on eBay

It's possible they made these for a particular retailer (like a sporting goods store possibly) for an exclusive offering, or that they were only available in a certain foreign market.  Simply due to lack of information about them, I would think about passing and consider a different set.

Bridgestone j40 445 w/ Graphite Design AD DJ-7
Callaway Steelhead Plus 3 wood w/ RCH Pro Series 3.2
Adams Idea Pro hybrids (3 & 4) w/ Aldila VS Proto
Bridgestone j33 CB (5-PW) w/ original Rifle 5.5
Bridgestone West Coast 52*, j40 satin 56* & 60* w/ DG S-300
Odyssey White Hot XG #9
Bridgestone B330-RX

Sooo I ended up buying them because the seller only wanted $25. That tells me that they were probably not last years model. But again $25 got me a set of clubs with graphite shafts that had been used once, a bag (Cougar Diablo) two packs of brand new balls still in the box, a glove still in the box and a handful of tees. Pretty much everything to walk outside my apartment and start hitting balls (I live on a golf course). I also sent an email to Wilson inquiring about the clubs, but have yet to hear back.

If any one has any information about when the clubs were produced, I still am very interested (I can take better pictures now that they are in my possession). I guess on the plus side no one else has anything like them.

Oh, nice.  Yeah, I didn't realize they were $25, so you're not going to get hurt no matter what.  Sounds like you're ready to go play!

If this doesn't work, call their 800 number ( 1-800-800-9936 ).  I did this last year trying to get more info on a set of irons I bought in the mid-90s.  Their CS rep forwarded it to the Golf Dept., where one of their golf sales specialists called me.  He could not locate precise build specs, but gave me what was common for their clubs from that time period.

    • I have been a big follower of this technology ever since I saw Positive Putters display at a golf show in the Revealer they invented and patented. That would have been around 2000. It made sense to me that staying target line balanced was a better way of balancing.  Early models of these putters were often too flat for me and I struggled to hole more putts. I was fascinated by all of them - Positive Putters, the Railgun, the SeeMore blades and the Backstryke. I have tried the DF1, which was great for long putts, and currently use the DF3. I am still really good at long putts with the DF3 3, having made a 90’ putt and a 34’ putt in my last two rounds. My first round with the DF3 I only had 24 putts making almost 200’ of putts. I don’t quite use the putter the way they suggest- I don’t swing harder, and only a little longer, on longer putts. All my putts are at the same tempo, or strive to be. Therefore, I am swinging harder on longer putts. I do love putting with the DF 3 and I have become much better at putting through 50-60 mm gates at home, rarely hitting the sides.
    • Like the SkyTrak, this isn't really intended to be used outside on grass. And yes, indoors on mats, you occasionally have to wipe off the front with a cloth or something. I just wiped my QuadMAX off for the first time since like March, though. It was a little dirty but still doing just fine.
    • That's racist.
